Food & Wedding :: Red Twig & Bridesmaid dresses

This past weekend, I met most of my bridesmaids (we missed Neha!) for breakfast at the Red Twig in Edmonds before we went to pick up their dresses which had arrived a few weeks ago. The Red Twig is a cute little cafe - you order at the counter and then find a seat. They have a nice size outdoor patio as well. Little Cohen (Lynsey's baby) came with us - he's getting so big! Sheena, Lyns & Ronda got eggs benedict and I got fiesta eggs. Everyone's food was really good - would totally go back again.

After food, we went to pick up the dresses. I brought the guy's tie & the girl's jewelry to make sure it matched and everything went perfectly (phew)! I like the dresses a lot more than I thought I would - the material looks much lighter (in weight) than I imagined and the color is really pretty. The only snag we hit is that Neha's dress was charcoal and not black which is what we wanted. Neha is our officiant and I want her to stand out separately from the bridesmaids given her role in the wedding. I guess it was both of our (me & the shop) faults which I'm still kicking myself about. The shop said they would pay for the dress in black if I would pay the rush order piece - I decided it was definitely worth it to me so I went for it and it will be here 2 weeks before the wedding. Here they are (Ronda ordered a size too big so hers needs to be altered quite a bit and Lyns' some. Sheena's fit pretty well!

  1. They look great!!!! I love them long. That's too bad Neha's didn't come in black, how did that happen?

  2. IDK - I guess mainly cause the charcoal dresses are called Ebony and that color usually means black and I didn't look at the form! Silly me.
