Invitations

I decided to make my own invitations for two reasons:

1 - I could fully control my colors/look

AND

2 - at the same time, save half the money of ordering my own invites online

sooo, down to paperzone I go with my coupons and pick out the colors of my wedding - black, white, dark pink and charcoal. After finding an invite I liked online, I decided to make mine somewhat similar but instead of real lace (I looked but couldn't quite figure it out), I used a lace look made out of paper and a good 'ole martha stewart punch.

The other night, i decided to start cutting all my materials to ensure I had enough materials just in case paperzone discos the paper I chose. After a couple hours, I made this progress and it doesn't look like much.

I discovered that I don't own a ruler so good thing a tape measure works!

The finished pieces - doesn't look like much after all that work!

Once I print my actual invite, I need to cut that portion as well and then time to assemble. It won't be time for a couple months, but at least I have some cutting complete!

  1. Good job! Can't wait to see the finished product! Hopefully you recruit some help when it comes time to putting the final pieces together.
