Home :: Christmas Eve

We had a great Christmas, spending time with all our family. We trekked between 4 houses on Christmas eve & day. Believe it or not, it was better/less hectic than years prior - we may have finally worked out a routine for future years. We started off Christmas eve at my parent's house. My Dad made his traditional breakfast and we opened presents slowly. When we were done, Kenny, Nathan and I went for a run and then came back to help finish prepping appetizers and desserts for the evening. Kenny took on his own dessert and made a Buche de Noel and Nathan helped him make leaves, berries, snails and rivers to decorate the buche. That evening, we went to the Giles side (Mom's) in Kirkland and had great food and company. We always have a $15 white elephant game that's timed and involves dice, but the gifts can't be junk, they have to be things people could use. Nathan walked away with a broom and some socks and I got a chip and dip bowl. Around 10pm, we drove to Puyallup to stay the night at Nathan's parent's house. The Ankroms (Nathan's sister & family) came over Christmas morning and we had breakfast, presents and a late lunch. That afternoon, we went back to Seattle to the Christensen side. I only managed to take pictures of Christmas eve.
