Wedding Dessert - CHECK!


Nathan and I were originally planning on getting a 3-tier, round cake. All I wanted was white frosting, those crystal sprinkles and then big peonies falling down the front of it. Sounds simple, right? Well, not so much - after extensive research and several cake tastings, it turns out that wedding cake is not cheap. Anytime you say the word 'wedding' the price doubles - how lovely!



I've totally scrapped the cake idea and have changed my mind and gone for cupcakes! I LOVE cupcakes and I mean LOVE so it's only fitting. My favorite cupcakes in town are Trophy - they are so much more moist than Cupcake Royale and delicious! Nathan and I went for a tasting and they brought out every flavor that they make which is about 20. They also let us look through their wedding book for ideas. I thought I was going to pass out from all the sugar so we stopped eating about halfway through and took the rest to go. We get to choose how many flavors we want, what color frosting and any decor that we want added to the cupcakes or the cupcake stand. I'm getting a 5 in cutting cake to go on top of the 4 tier stand so that we have a little tradition :) We have our design consultation in the next month so looking forward to determining all the little details!
